Visit to the circus

My hubby is not much of a outgoing person... but when he told me that there was a circus happening near our area - I jumped at the opportunity... n found out all the details of the same... I was kinda worried about how we would manage with the kids who are not used to eating out... n what food I would give them.. but since hubby was willing I thought I wud take one step at a time...

It was a 7 pm show - we managed to get out of our house at 6.30 pm.. what with the kids et al... The kids were thrilled at the prospect of going out... The elder one who cud understand a bit (since he was 3 1/2) was thrilled at the prospect of seeing animals...n they were very happy to get on the Royal Enfield - our family vehicle...

We reached the venue after 7 pm... n the kids were excited to see the huge ground... Eventhough, we have been to the circus before, it is an altogether different ball game to see it through the eyes of our kids... Every thing seemed so profound... Our daughter was caught up with the music and was dancing in her own cute way... The music was very upbeat.. It made up for the lack of animal shows... My son was very sad not have seen any lions - his fav. animal. The kids were content with seeing the elephants, horses and pomerian dog shows... and the music kept them in a good mood throughout..

It is very difficult to describe the sensory stimulus one would feel just watching children enjoy... It gives us a new perspective on life altogether.. and their innocent thinking and questions make up for all the problems faced in our life.

Looking at life from the outside

I look around wondering what is happening... The cars pass by. When I travel in the train - there are people screaming and yelling... there are some that sing.... very rarely with beautiful voices.... n I imagine I am out of it all in my own world where there are green landscaped lawns.... at one end and at another end there is a forest with trees growing aimlessly around with beautiful fruits n flowers...... Lions and tigers roaming freely about.... Me with my jungle outfit jumping from tree - and no I am not a monkey - I am sort of a female tarzan atuned with nature... with all the birds and the beasts for my friends..... i do whatever i please.... n i have a partner too...... who is my husband... we do as we please n eat whatever suits us.......... Sometimes, we decide to be civilised n leave the forest to live in the bungalow which has the landscaped lawn.... with servants at our beck n call..... There is this beautiful pool where we just float in the lap of luxury..... Sometimes we indulge in the game of pool with me winning of course....
Ooops I am back in the train!!!!!!!!!!!!

Little things that please me…

Speaking to my sisters
Speaking to my best friends
Speaking to my mom and dad.
Waiting for my husband’s call and then getting his call….. J
Hearing my husband say that he loves me.
Tasting a good dish
Unexpectedly finding out that the Saturday is a holiday.
Knowing that final God selects the perfect things for you even if you had hardships before…
Hearing someone appreciate my work.
Being genuinely flattered about my looks or my clothes.
Making people happy… Life is all about that – if others are happy, we are happy. If others are sad we are sad…. It is just a matter of choice.
Being able to cool an angry person.
Being able to tell someone that they are not doing the right thing…
Being able to make a difference in someone’s life.
Learning French.
Reading a good book.
Praying daily coz I know it makes a difference J
Being in love with my husband….. and knowing that he loves me too……..
Enjoying nature… The roses in my garden and the trees all around.
Enjoying the cute birds who chirp and come to my window for food.
The dogs from the neighbourhood who are friendly to me without me doing anything.
The children who come to me without wanting anything – Their innocence is the greatest thing……. They make me happy!!!! They love me unconditionally ….
Making new friends…and finding out that they would like to be my friend too….
Life is fully of pleasant surprises

to live in the past

Oh for the days, I spent in Belgium and France..... I was not married then.... I went to visit a friend... n we had a ball of a time.... (her hubby, her daughter, her and me ofcourse)... We spent a weekend at a holiday home which was near a forest (The Ardennes to be precise... :) where we saw deers running with wild abandon... the mud was soft n mucky due to the perpetual rains.... It was pre-Easter time... so the kiddies were looking for easter eggs which the bunny hid (bunny being Grandmere) - The excitement of finding the eggs... and voila - I get to eat 'em.. yum.... Chocolate.... Apres, I have the vin (wine ofcourse) - excellent..... At home we celebrate with a bottle of Moet et Chardonny (champagne - glorious for words)....with cheese to die for.... Another weekend we spend in Paris and visit the Eiffel tower - go right on the top........ ooooooh it was cold on the 2nd stage as it started rainin and I forgot my manteau below.... horrible.... The rain is chilly - the cold attacks yr bones.... n when it is sunny wow....!! We go to the Louvre but the queues being too long we just don't enter... :( We walk on the streets of fashion...the Champs-Elysées to be precise... then we go to see the Basilica of the Sacré Coeur which is a beautiful place... outside the Basilica u can see the whole of Paris... (they have kept a telescope to magnify the view)... Walk a little ahead n we reach Notre Dame cathedral where u see the gargoyles... There was a mass in process so we did not go in... Below the same is a crypt... ancient ofcourse.... where u see life as it was eons ago...... and the the Arc de Triomphe, c'est magnifique....one can go on and on in Paris n enjoy its amazing architecture.... but sadly i had to leave coz i was short on time.... It is amazing to get into the tiny cafes and enjoy the food n ambience... each cafe has its own uniqueness.... n hospitabality... Je suis tres heureuse... :)
Now I am tired... maybe someother time.....
